Welcome to Autonomy Ledger, operated by Jade Digital Labs LLC, a Nevada limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website, progressive web app, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the “Service”).
We built Autonomy Ledger with privacy as a core principle. We collect only what we need to provide the Service, and we never sell your data.
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What Makes Us Different
No Bank Connections
We never connect to your bank accounts, credit cards, or any financial institution. We don't use Plaid, Yodlee, or similar aggregation services. Your bank credentials, account numbers, and actual transaction history stay entirely private. We only see financial data you manually type in.
Your Data Stays Yours
We don't sell your data to anyone, ever. We don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. We don't use it to target you with ads. Your financial information exists solely to power the Service for you.
No Tracking
We don't use advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or third-party analytics that follow you across the web. We don't track your behavior to build marketing profiles.
Encryption by Default
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard security protocols to protect your information.
3. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account Information: Email address, name, and password (stored as a secure hash, never plain text)
- Financial Data You Enter: Budget categories and amounts, transaction descriptions and amounts, debt names, balances, APRs, and minimum payments, savings goals and progress, income sources and amounts. This is data you manually type. We have no way to verify it against actual bank records because we don't connect to banks.
- Preferences: Display settings (dark/light mode), notification preferences
- Support Communications: Messages you send to our support team
- Payment Information: When you subscribe, billing details are collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. Stripe handles this securely.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version
- Log Data: IP address, access times, error reports (for debugging and security only)
- Authentication Tokens: Session tokens to keep you logged in (stored locally on your device, not tracking cookies)
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Bank account login credentials
- Bank account or credit card numbers
- Automatic transaction history from financial institutions
- Social Security numbers or government IDs
- Precise location (GPS)
- Contacts or address book
- Browsing history outside our Service
- Behavioral data for advertising profiles
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to provide and improve the Service:
- Provide the Service: Calculate your Freedom Date, track budgets, process your financial entries, and generate reports
- Process Payments: Handle subscription billing through Stripe
- Communicate: Send account verification, password resets, security alerts, and service updates
- Customer Support: Respond to your questions and troubleshoot issues
- AI Analyst: When you use the AI feature, process your financial data to provide insights (your data is not used to train AI models)
- Security: Detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access
We do NOT use your data for:
- Selling to third parties
- Targeted advertising
- Training AI models
- Building marketing profiles
- Sharing with data brokers
5. AI Analyst Feature
The AI Analyst is a powerful feature that uses your financial data to provide personalized insights, answer questions, and help you understand your complete financial picture. Your data is only sent to the AI when you actively use this feature.
How It Works
- Provider: Powered by Claude, developed by Anthropic
- When Data Is Sent: Only when you open the AI Analyst and ask a question. If you never use the AI feature, no data is ever sent to Anthropic.
- Optional: You can use Autonomy Ledger fully without ever using the AI Analyst feature.
What Data Is Shared With the AI
When you use AI Analyst, the following self-reported data you've entered may be sent to Anthropic's servers to generate personalized insights:
- Income sources and amounts
- Budget categories, allocations, and spending amounts
- Debt account names (as you labeled them), balances, APRs, and minimum payments
- Savings goals and progress
- Financial summary metrics (savings rate, net position, financial health score)
- Your conversation messages with the AI Analyst
What Is Never Shared
- Bank account numbers or credit card numbers (we don't collect these)
- Login credentials to any financial institution
- Social Security numbers or government IDs
- Your email address or account password
Important Context
All financial data in Autonomy Ledger is self-reported. You manually enter it. We do not connect to banks or verify this information against actual financial institutions. The AI sees only what you've typed, which cannot be confirmed as accurate or tied to real accounts.
Anthropic's Data Handling
- No Training: Per Anthropic's API terms, data sent through their API is not used to train AI models.
- Retention: Anthropic may retain API data for up to 30 days for trust and safety purposes (such as abuse detection), after which it is deleted.
- Security: Data is encrypted in transit to Anthropic's servers.

6. Service Providers
We share your information only with service providers necessary to operate the Service:
- Stripe (payments): Processes subscription billing. Privacy Policy
- Anthropic (AI): Powers the AI Analyst feature. Privacy Policy
- Supabase (database): Stores your account and financial data. Privacy Policy
- Vercel (web hosting): Hosts the website and web app. Privacy Policy
- DigitalOcean (server infrastructure): Hosts our backend services. Privacy Policy
- Resend (email): Delivers account emails. Privacy Policy
- Sentry (error monitoring): Captures crash reports and error data to help us fix bugs. May receive your user ID, email address, device information, and technical error details. Privacy Policy
These providers only receive data necessary for their specific function and are contractually prohibited from using it for other purposes.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law or valid legal process (e.g., court order, subpoena). We will notify you when legally permitted.
Business Transfers
If Jade Digital Labs LLC is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
What We Do NOT Do
- Sell personal information to anyone
- Share data with advertisers
- Share data with data brokers
- Use data for marketing beyond our own Service
7. Data Security
- Encryption at Rest: All stored data is encrypted
- Encryption in Transit: All connections use TLS/HTTPS
- Password Security: Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We never store plain-text passwords
- Access Controls: Strict internal limits on data access
No system is 100% secure. While we use industry-standard protections, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
- Active Accounts: Data retained while your account is active
- After Deletion: Personal data removed from active systems within 30 days of account deletion
- Backups: Purged within 90 days of deletion
- Legal Requirements: Some data may be retained longer if required by law
9. Your Rights
- Access: Request a copy of your data
- Correction: Update inaccurate information in Settings
- Deletion: Delete your account and data through Settings or by contacting us
- Export: Download your financial data from the app
- Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from promotional emails (you'll still receive essential account emails)
To exercise these rights, use Settings in the app or email privacy@autonomyledger.com. We respond within 30 days.
10. Children's Privacy
Autonomy Ledger is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us at privacy@autonomyledger.com and we will delete it.
11. International Users
Autonomy Ledger is based in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the US:
- Your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States
- US data protection laws may differ from your country's laws
- By using the Service, you consent to this transfer
12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident:
- Right to Know: Request what personal information we collect and how we use it
- Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information
- No Sale: We do not sell personal information, so opt-out rights do not apply
- Non-Discrimination: We won't discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights
